Is it normal to have middle back pain?

I know this might be tmi but last month my period was irregular. It’s only been 21 days since I got my period last month and I got my menstrual period today. I am on Ortho-tri and on the second day on sugar pills. Is it normal to have middle and upper mild pain when you have your period???? I know I get low back pain cramps but I’ve never had middle or upper back pain when I get my period. Are my hormones and body changing. I am 28 yrs. old. Thanks for replies.

Ugh, periods make the whole body hurt before and sometimes during. Take Advil/Motrin (ibuprofen) or a similar medicine and see if the pain gets better. If it persists even after the period is done…get it checked out.

Back pain is often related to the muscles. A slight dehydration can be the cause of these muscle pains, especially when doing exercise or lifting a lot of heavy things.

Since you’re also on medication it would be best to ask your doctor for advice.
